Who crafted Canada’s bogus “terrorist list”?

CPA Chair Hanna Kawas delves into Canada’s “terrorist list” and how the Zionist lobby was instrumental in having Palestinian and Lebanese resistance groups banned as such. Both the U.S. and Canadian governments are quick to remind us that they have designated these groups are “terrorist entities”, as they justify Israel’s extrajudicial assassinations that also murder hundreds (perhaps thousands) of civilians.
This presentation was part of the Right to Resist Meeting held May 8 in Vancouver, highlighting the repression globally and in Canada of pro-Palestine advocacy.

#StopTheJNF…We will not Stop, We will not Rest!

News broke earlier this week about Canada Revenue Agency’s intention to revoke the JNF’s charitable status. Although this was positive news, only brought on by enormous grassroots pressure, we must be cautious in considering this a victory. It is not yet a done deal and the JNF, in its own July 25 media statement, announced that they were appealing and “JNF Canada will continue its charitable activity including collecting and receipting donations and distributing funds while the legal challenge is before the Federal Court of Appeal…JNF Canada is continuing its work”. So for now, JNF Canada (and by extension Canadian taxpayers) are still funding genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Attached are photos and a video from multiple #StopTheJNF pickets in Vancouver, initiated by CPA over the last 20 years.

CPA 2023 Year in Review – Forward to Return and Liberation!

Canada Palestine Association in Vancouver had another busy year in 2023, particularly during the last 3 months as we joined with forces all over the world to demand an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza. From boycott campaigns (Scotiabank, Israeli wines) to Nakba75 to presentations with our indigenous brothers and sisters to weekly demos/rallies/marches/ since Oct. 7: all these actions were done to keep the voice and struggle of the Palestinians alive.
We closed out the year by joining with other allies in multiple local events (collage below) and by recommitting to uphold Palestinian liberation and to bring an end to the settler colonialist ideology of Zionism, that has unleashed so much death and destruction on the Palestinian people.

#StopScotiabank #ShutElbitDown

Join the campaign and send your letter now to tell Scotiabank to divest from Elbit Systems. Send letter here.

Activists across Canada join in the demand that Scotiabank divest immediately from Israeli arms company Elbit Systems. Scotiabank is the largest foreign investor in Elbit, to the tune of $500 million. Shame on Scotiabank!

Photo Gallery for Nakba75 Vancouver

Vancouver was out on the streets on May 14 for a Nakba75 rally and march. After gathering at the Vancouver Art Gallery, the crowd marched through the downtown core to the U.S. consulate to highlight Western complicity in Israeli war crimes.
