Vancouver was out on the streets on May 14 for a Nakba75 rally and march. After gathering at the Vancouver Art Gallery, the crowd marched through the downtown core to the U.S. consulate to highlight Western complicity in Israeli war crimes.

Vancouver Picket/Flash Action for Int’l Day of Solidarity
On November 26, there was a lively picket/flash action in Vancouver to mark the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinians and to call for deshelving Israeli apartheid wines in BC liquor stores. Activists also condemned City Council’s recent adoption of IHRA. Vancouver City Council adopts anti-Palestinian IHRA definition
On November 16, despite strong and diverse opposition, Vancouver City Council adopted the dangerous and divisive IHRA definition. The IHRA is designed to “chill” speech on Palestine and institutionalizes anti-Palestinian racism.
Canada Palestine Association is grateful for all the speakers who took the time to express their opposition to the IHRA in front of council before the vote. They represented the best of Vancouver and showed that our voices will not be silenced.… Read more

BC Govt: Pull Israeli Apartheid Wines
On June 28, Vancouver activists carried out another picket to promote the “Tell BC Govt to Pull Israeli Apartheid Wines” campaign. Hundreds of leaflets were distributed outside a BC liquor store and following that, the action moved to the office of MLA Melanie Mark. Several of her constituents were part of the picket and their concerns are being consistently sidelined by her office, despite her promise to meet with them.… Read more

Unfortunately, the presentation was “zoom-bombed” with pornographic images by people who wished to disrupt the webinar.
