Nov. 29 Vancouver meeting: Labour in Solidarity with Palestine
Packed house with standing room only at Labour in Solidarity with Palestine meeting; we look forward to the formation of the Labour4Palestine Vancouver chapter.
Join us on The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People for an educational evening, where we will discuss the necessary steps needed to build a strong Labour for Palestine chapter and solidarity movement here in Vancouver. For this event, we will hear greetings from various local labour activists in different unions. We will also screen solidarity videos from both the General Union of Palestinian Workers and the World Peace Council. The main speakers for this event are Hanna Kawas from the Canada Palestine Association, Charlotte Kates from Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, and Omri Haiven from Jews Against Genocide.
This will be followed by a discussion about the ways labour can show up and stand in solidarity with Palestine. We will also be providing Palestinian food from Tamam at the event. Hope you can make it. Free Palestine!
