An Evening of Solidarity with Palestine

In 1942, some leading Zionists met in New York to formulate plans for a Jewish state. Since then – leading up to recent acts of inhuman aggression by Israeli forces against innocent Palestinians in Gaza – history has experienced nothing but brutal and severe war crimes committed by Zionist forces in the pure land of Palestine.

Currently, the land of Palestine is witnessing yet another brutal episode of a collective human tragedy resulting from barbarism and genocide. The latest massacre in Gaza caused by the Israeli occupation army has thus far led to the death of more than 1,200 Palestinian civilians, including women and children, not to mention thousands more injured.

To refresh our humanitarian obligations for our Palestinian brother/sisterhood, the Committee of Progressive Pakistani Canadians (CPPC) is holding a public rally and a vigil to give a clear message to the world that WE ARE TOGETHER & AGAINST THE ZIONIST GROUP & ISRAELI OCCUPIED FORCES.

You don’t need to be an Arab or Muslim to Stand Up For Gaza, You just need to be a Human. Everyone’s presence makes a difference. So bring your kids, your brothers, sisters, friends and all your family members and support the cause. This is reality, this is a genocide and this is a humanitarian fight. Its time to renew our commitments, our stand and our practical stance towards human rights, justice and peace in the world and especially for our grieved Brothers and Sisters of Palestine.

This event is being held in association with our allies: the Fraser Valley Peace Council, the Canada Palestine Association, Independent Jewish Voices and the South Asian Network for Secularism and Democracy (SANSAD).

If you wish to support/endorse this event, please let us know. Also please help us spread the word.

TIME: 2:00 pm

Invite your friends and family, spread the word and share this event.

Bring your signs, your spirit, your voices and solidarity.
We will not give up hope and we will not succumb to the biased opinions of the mainstream media. We will not remain silent amidst a myriad of war crimes. We will not turn a blind eye to the broken UN resolutions. We WILL be the voice for the voiceless. We WILL stand for justice and freedom. Our government must know that we condemn it’s support for Israel and we want to make BDS effective.

Everyone’s presence makes a difference. Bring your kids, your brothers, sisters, friends and all your family members. This is reality, this is a genocide and this is a humanitarian fight. We stand against the violations of human rights, for this reason, as mentioned before, put aside religion and race and come out to support the cause. See you Saturday!

This event is taking place on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.

GAZA IS UNDER ATTACK. Over 150 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed – including children – and THOUSANDS wounded at the hands of Israeli missiles, bombs and fighter planes since Tuesday. While Palestinians are dying, Stephen Harper has once again reiterated his unconditional support of Israel, and MPs from across the Canadian political spectrum have been silent and complicit as the massacres continue.

Protests are being organized in cities around the world to respond to the ongoing assault on Palestine and the Palestinian people, including the bombing of Gaza and the killing of over 150 Palestinians by occupation forces; the murders of Palestinians (including 16-year-old Muhammad Abu Khdeir and 3-year old Mohammad Malaka, murdered brutally by Israeli settlers) and ongoing settler and military brutality; the mass arrests of over 900; and the raids, attacks, tear-gassing, invasions and closure that Palestinians are being subjected to.

Join us in Vancouver to stand in solidarity, to chant and rally together and break the silence and the deception being put forward by mainstream media!
