BACK ON THE STREETS: As Repression Escalates from West Bank to KKKANADA 🚨
August 7 – 6 PM – 2120 Cambie Street
On July 24, settlers from Havat Gilad attacked Palestinian homes in Tal, southwest of Nablus. After residents pushed them back, settlers returned with soldiers. A Palestinian man seized a rifle and shot a settler dead. Soldiers then shot him dead. Four members of the Ramadan family were killed.
Since then, 26 Israeli army battalions have deployed across the West Bank. Raids continue nightly. Dozens arrested. Homes searched. A hospital stormed. Settlers have burned homes, workshops, two mosques. An infant survived arson. A pregnant woman lost her child at a military gate. Four new outposts appeared overnight. Forty-two built since January. Land seized. Roads sealed. The West Bank is burning.
Meanwhile in so called Canada, Ahmad Hassan Hajahmad aka Ahmad Jarrar of Toronto faces a terrorism charge by the fraudulent state for speaking out against oppression against his people. Similar charges have been dropped before but the intent is the same, which is intimidation. This happens while former Israeli soldiers walk free on Canadian soil.
It is one system of repression that operates across borders. Both serve the same purpose of protecting the occupation and silence anyone who speak against it. We will be in the streets because the ruling class does not care whether the boots are on Palestinian soil or Canadian one as long as the profits keep flowing, the weapons keep shipping, and the rest of us keep fighting each other instead of them. Join us as power only shifts when people decide to take it. Remember there are more of us than there are of them.
See you on August 7 at 6 pm in front of VPD headquarters l (2120 Cambie Street)
