2024 was another eventful year for Canada Palestine Association (CPA) as we focused on challenging the Israeli genocide and fighting against the increasing police repression in Canada. CPA also held a special meeting in November that commemorated its 44 years of solidarity activism. Here is the report of CPA events, statements and other highlights for 2024.
Events and Campaigns:
CPA Vancouver is outraged after reading a new statement from local activists in the Palestine movement, detailing more oppressive raids and arrests by RCMP and the Vancouver Police Dept VPD in recent days. Although once again no charges were laid, this pattern of intimidation and harassment of the Palestinian community and its supporters must be stopped and challenged.

Pickets in multiple cities and towns happened as part of the Days of Action to tell Scotiabank to divest completely from Israeli arms dealer Elbit Systems. There were 12 announced locations across the country where activists were out on the streets to demand that Scotiabank stop funding genocide!
The accompanying Action Network writing campaign has already resulted in over 5700 letters being sent to Scotiabank and its global asset fund with the same message.… Read more
