Rally/Vigil October 19th, Vancouver City Hall: We Stand with Palestine

Join us on Thursday October 19th at 6 pm to show that Vancouverites stand with Palestine and to mourn with Gaza as they bury the most recent victims of this ongoing genocide. Just today, Israel bombed a hospital in Gaza City, massacring hundreds (estimate so far is 800), including refugees taking shelter there.

Mayor Ken Sim has been vocal about his support for Israel since October 7th (and before) and also been smearing Palestinian supporters as “terrorists”.… Read more

Vancouver Stands with Palestine

On October 9, over 500 people came out in the Vancouver rain to show their support with the Palestinian people and to highlight they will not be intimidated by the biased disinformation coming from Western politicians and the media. Multiple speakers at the rally, which was followed by a march thru the downtown, emphasized that the Palestinians have been struggling against a vicious settler colonial project for 75 years and that this is the root of the ongoing violence.… Read more

Shame on Scotiabank, #ShutElbitDown Picket

Saturday, September 23, 2 pm
1750 Manitoba St., Vancouver (False Creek Branch)

Join us on September 23 to highlight the complicity of Scotiabank in funding the killing of Palestinians.

Photo Gallery from Vancouver Events to say Shame on Scotiabank and #ShutElbitDown

Vancouver activists were out on the streets on July 22 to say Shame on Scotiabank and #ShutElbitDown. Scotiabank is the largest foreign investor in Israeli arms company Elbit. Although usually open on Saturdays, the Scotiabank branch we marched to was mysteriously “temporarily closed” when we arrived to tell Scotiabank they have Palestinian blood on their hands.
We joined with BDS Vancouver, Samidoun Vancouver, Masar Badil and Bayan Canada to Stand With Palestine and denounce Canadian complicity in Israeli war crimes.… Read more

Vancouver Week of Action to #ShutElbitDown

Two great events coming up in Vancouver.
On July 18, join us for an important evening on Palestine, the struggle for justice — and the campaign to shut down Elbit Systems and its murderous drone force. Scotiabank, one of Canada’s biggest banks, is the largest foreign investor in Elbit Systems, which produces 85% of Israel’s killer drones used to target Palestinians for assassination in Gaza, Jenin and throughout occupied Palestine.… Read more

Vancouver picket/flash action: Freedom for Walid Daqqah and Scotiabank #ShutElbitDown

Great actions on June 3 in Vancouver. Activists from local solidarity groups gathered at CBC to call for freedom for Walid Daqqah and all Palestinian prisoners. Then, they held a march and flash action at Scotiabank headquarters, to help launch the national campaign to demand that Scotiabank divest from the Israeli arms maker Elbit Systems.
