On November 26, there was a lively picket/flash action in Vancouver to mark the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinians and to call for deshelving Israeli apartheid wines in BC liquor stores. Vancouver City Council adopts anti-Palestinian IHRA definition

On November 16, despite strong and diverse opposition, Vancouver City Council adopted the dangerous and divisive IHRA definition. The IHRA is designed to “chill” speech on Palestine and institutionalizes anti-Palestinian racism.

BC Govt: Pull Israeli Apartheid Wines

On June 28, Vancouver activists carried out another picket to promote the “Tell BC Govt to Pull Israeli Apartheid Wines” campaign. Hundreds of leaflets were distributed outside a BC liquor store and following that, the action moved to the office of MLA Melanie Mark. Several of her constituents were part of the picket and their concerns are being consistently sidelined by her office, despite her promise to meet with them.… Read more

At the peak of rush hour, committed activists with great signs and Palestinian flags took first to the 4 corners of the intersection and then formed a block-long human chain of #NoAnnexation messages.
